High School Students Bring Smiles to Residents of Good Samaritan Nursing Home
West Islip, NY – More than 40 Sayville High School students brightened the day for residents at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Every month students visit the nursing home for a night of fun and games including bowling, cards and manicures. The students are very generous with their time and enjoy their visits with the seniors.
“I look forward to spending time with the residents at the Nursing Home,” said Meghan Aversano. “They have a lot of wonderful stories and they make me feel good.”

The Good Samaritan Nursing Home is located at 101 Elm Street in Sayville, one block from the Great South Bay. The 100-bed facility has been part of Good Samaritan since 1980. The residents of the Nursing Home are a medically complex population requiring the full-time care only a skilled nursing facility can provide.
